The format of the race is running / walking / crawling 250 Km in 6 stages (7 days) in a part of Romania with beautiful green landscapes, where the legends of the past are still a way of living and the blend of history, culture and the beauty of the nature makes it a must do on one runner’s bucket list.
For those of you seeking UTMB qualifying points, Ultra Race Romania has been ITRA certified and given 6 qualifying points.
This is a multi Stage Race.
Program of the event :
9 AUG : Competitors arriving in Bucharest at the meeting point (in front of the House of the Parliament) at 12:00 PM where they'll be picked up by buses and heading to the host town Brasov.
8-9 AUG : Accommodation is provided in the Host Town (details coming later).
10 AUG : Breakfast included :
- 10h00 AM : the registration will take place in the hotel conference room.
The competitors will receive their BIB numbers and the road books.
The medical check, gear check and all prerace paperwork will be done.
Runners must leave their luggage at the hotel and keep only the backpack needed for the race.
- 12:00 AM : leaving for the first base camp (snacks will be provided).
- 18:00 : the briefing.
- 19:00 - dinner is included.
11 AUG : 8:00 AM - start of Stage 1 (time limit : 12h).
12 AUG : 8:00 AM - start of Stage 2 (time limit : 12h).
13 AUG : 7:00 AM - start of Stage 3 (time limit : 13h).
14 AUG : 6:00 AM - start of Stage 4 - long stage (time limit : 36h).
15 AUG : Rest day.
16 AUG : 8:00 AM - start of Stage 5 (time limit : 12h).
17 AUG : 7:00 AM - start of Stage 6 (time limit : 4h) / Food and drinks are available at the finish line.
13:00 : heading to the host town.
20:00 : awards ceremony and dinner.
18 AUG : 8:00 AM Breakfast.
10:00 AM : Departure from Brasov to Bran for visiting Dracula's Castle.
19 AUG : 8:00 AM Breakfast.
10:00 : AM Heading to Sinaia > Visiting Peles Castle.
